Professor Marilyn Minus is a Professor and the Department Chair and Associate Chair for Graduate Studies and Research at Northeastern University. Prior to joining Northeastern, Dr. Minus obtained her PhD in polymer engineering in 2008 from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2017, Professor Marilyn Minus was selected by Georgia Tech's College of Engineering Council to receive an Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni Award for her research contributions and service as a faculty at Northeastern University.

Professor Minus believes that life is a series of learning lessons - you never stop. As an engineer, she has a very logical mindset and she says the best piece of advice she has ever received from someone is to “watch your life and your doctrine.” As the Department Chair and Associate Chair for Graduate Studies and Research at Northeastern, she takes this approach very seriously as a role model to her students.
